Recently, on the occasion of the 2078 New Year in Nepal,the celebration for the youth groups in Dhunche were grandly held in Syaphru, where the Rasuwa Bhotekoshi Hydropower Project(120MW) is located. Heads at all levels of local parties and organizations, and the expats of the Shuifa were invited to participate in the event.

This event was the most grand one held in the town of Syaphru Besi during many years. After taking careful epidemic prevention measures, people from surrounded villages gathered in the square of the town. When the night fell, famous Nepali singers started playing beautiful songs and dances, people under the platform also happily joined in to sing and dance together. With all of these wonderful moments, the event came to its climax and ended in a joyous atmosphere.

This event was strongly supported and sponsored by Shuifa at the request of the local government. It was highly praised by the local government and all sectors of society and a award was granted later on. It effectively promoted the communication between the Chinese developer and the local people, and laid a good social foundation for the both sides to work together in future.  

As Shuifa gets financial returns from its investment in Nepal, the company is also trying to  pay back to local society through different ways. When disasters hit the country, like the earthquake, the epidemic and the floods , the company donated money and materials to local communities. Sponsoring various public benefit activities for local people also happened frequently. More than that, the company provided employment opportunities to locals. Such efforts effectively enhanced the economic development here.

Shuifa has invested in four hydropower projects in Nepal. Among them, the Bagmati Hydropower Project(22MW) was put into operation one years ago, meanwhile the Rasuwa Bhotekoshi Hydropower Project(120MW),  the Rahughat Mangale Hydropower Project (35.5 MW) and the Upper Rahughat Hydropower Project (48.5 MW) are under construction.
