Mr.Barsha Man Pun, the Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation of Nepal, Met with Mr. Liu Jianxin

At 3pm on July 20, local time, Mr. Balsa Man Pun, Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation of Nepal, met with Liu Jianxin, Chairman of Sichuan Hechuan Investment Co., Ltd.,Shuifa Group, and his team , in his office located in Kathmandu. The two sides conducted friendly talks.
In the meeting, Mr.Minister welcomed Chairman Liu’s visit as the representative of Shuifa Group. He introduced current market of energy and water resources in Nepal and expressed his concerns about the progress of projects developed by the company.He highly appreciated Shuifa’s efforts in Nepal’s development of hydro power sector and would welcome more investment from Shuifa. He said that he would be confident in cooperation between two sides.
Mr. Liu Jianxin also elaborated Shuifa’s industry layout, which including clean energy, water affairs environment,modernized agriculture etc., and expressed that the group would dedicated to explore more opportunities in Nepal. Both sides discussed further and agree to cooperate with each other in more areas like water affairs and agriculture for mutual benefit.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Liu on behalf of Shuifa Group donated anti-epidemic medical materials such as face mask, protective clothing etc. to the Nepalese government for its long-period support and help. He also said that Shuifa would try its best to stand with Nepal government and people to fight against pandemic at this critical moment. He hope that cooperation would bring more fruits based upon friendship. Shuifa Group would work together with the Nepal Government to contribute to the promotion of Nepal’s social and economic development and improvement of the people’s lives as well as friendship between China and Nepal.
Till now, Shuifa Group has invested four hydro power projects in Nepal . Among them, Bagmati (22MW) has been put into operation in 2019 and the other three are under construction. They are all in smooth progress.
